About the Role
Medication Technicians assist with the administration of prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. They ensure accurate dispensing and compliance with medication protocols.
Requirements
Prepare and administer medications to patients as directed by RNs or physicians.
Document medication administration and maintain accurate records.
Observe patients for adverse reactions and report concerns to supervisors.
Assist with basic patient care tasks as needed.
Ensure medication storage and handling comply with facility policies and regulations.
Communicate with healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
Medication Technician certification in the state of practice.
High school diploma or GED.
Completion of a state-approved medication training program.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting.
